I have posted all KY Tournaments (except scholastics) that appear in Chess Life on our Forum Calendar. Please disregard the 1 January post as it should have been 6 Jan. (click on calendar @ top of page)
There are two Saturday Tournaments in driving distance this month; one in Louisville, the other in Lexington.
Those seeking longer time controls should check out Lexington.
Johnny has received a request to direct a tournament in Bowling Green; possibly in Feb.

Western Kentucky University Open march 28th 2009 This is the first annual Western Kentucky Open chess tournament in Bowling Green, KY. We want this to grow into a large mid-eastern college invitational and adult open year after year. TO do so we need your support. Please support this initiative in what Chief National TD, Harry Sabine (with 40 years of TD experience), says is one of the best locations he has ever seen for Chess tournaments. Help us set records and make this one the best annual college and adult opens in the region! For those who may have to travel from out of state, WKU is located only 50 minutes north of Nashville and there is shuttle service available from Nashville airport to Bowling green (see tournament flier). We hope to see you there! For more information visit our website at www.hilltopperchess.net and read the attachments.
