An excerpt from a much larger post from the KCF website about the Kentucky Chess Tour. Tour will be funded by the KCF and starting after the Kentucky Open.
“BTW I expect to have more than 10 events. I expect at least two events in Louisville and Lexington, of course. If we relax the rules, then 3 or 4 events in Louisville, easily. Then there's the MSU open and at least one tournament in Paducah (maybe 2). Hopefully, the Elizabethtown tournaments will be on the tour as well (consider this an invitation!). I'm pretty sure we'll have some tournaments in neighboring areas (Evansville or Clarksville, for example, might support KCA). It adds up more quickly than you'd expect. We might have as many as 15 tour events -- that would be enough to definately consider this a success. _________________ Rodney Vaughn”

In that thread on the KCA I reconfired (I thought I had ask for ECC to be a stop last year) our desire to have one of our tournaments be on the tour. Frankly, I think we are hosting some of the best tournaments around and will be one of the more popular stops.
